SBS is the UK’s leading specialist contractor in the fields of residential energy efficiency, whole-house retrofit and decarbonisation.
Working on behalf of social housing providers, landlords and private homeowners, we manage projects involving all kinds of building fabric improvements, microgeneration systems, adaptations and general repairs.
Accreditations & PAS Standards
The decarbonisation industry has seen significant changes recently, particularly with the introduction of new standards. However, we have adapted quickly and were one of the first contractors in the country to deliver works in accordance with the requirements of PAS 2030 and PAS 2035. We remain fully accredited and are capable of delivering projects in line with all relevant regulatory and public funding requirements.
Energy Efficiency Funding Streams
We are a PAS 2030:19 and Trustmark-accredited contractor, qualified to manage and deliver retrofit energy efficiency and decarbonisation works through all the major public funding schemes. Examples include:
- The Energy Company Obligation
- Green Homes Grant Local Authority Delivery (LAD)
- The Home Upgrade Grant (HUG)
- The Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund
We achieved our PAS accreditation through the British Board of Agrément. We are an installer member of the National Insulation Association (NIA) and approved by the Solid Wall Insulation Guarantee Agency (SWIGA).
Client Frameworks
We excel in the installation of retrofit energy efficiency measures in and around occupied properties, often involving tight time constraints in order to meet critical funding deadlines. In the last five years alone, we have successfully completed multi-measure installations to over 10,000 properties. Much of this work has been procured via major UK-wide frameworks.
